2020 Goals

It’s a brand new decade! I’m not sure how you brought in the new year, but I rocked it with my furnace going out on top of myself and entire family being sick for 10+ days. I guess 2020 just had to get in a kick before I crushed it this year. Fair enough.

But now that I’m on the mend I’m ready to really work on a few things this year.

1. DDPY 5 days a week
DDP Yoga makes my body feel good. It has eliminated all the back pain that I struggled with so long and allowed me to do normal things like walking for extended periods of time and holding my son. And let’s not forget the awesome part of losing weight. I mean.. isn’t that like the typical “resolution” around this time?

2. Reach goal weight 150lbs
This one I’m giving myself a little leniency. As of this moment, it’s just a healthy number! I feel it’s practically impossible to judge a weight when I haven’t been around that size in years.. like probably middle school years if we are being honest.

3. Track food daily with WW
I lost 10.4lbs my first month with WW. I love results like that so I plan to keep on track this way to reach my weight goals. Using their app gives me the sense of control and freedom at the same time. Not to mention they offer hundreds of recipes on their app and a bajillion more on Pinterest.

4. Regularly blog
It’s no secret I don’t regularly post updates. This is something that I was super excited to start up, but didn’t make a priority. That changes this year! And PLEASE, if you have any suggestions of content you’d like to see let me know!

5. Cook and share new recipes
I despise the kitchen.. and I think the kitchen feels the same way about me. But as someone who is an extremely picky eater it can be hard to find recipes that really work for me and I’m sure that I’m not the only one out there who feels this way and wants to lose weight. I want to discover new recipes, cook them to what works best for me and my family, and share them with the world so it can help anyone else in the same boat. It also adds that extra layer of accountability by being so open about what I’m eating.

6. Successfully do a hand stand and black crow
These are two moves that show strength and are just plain cool. I see a lot of people in the community doing them and so many more poses and I’m usually pretty jealous. Instead of sitting back and being envious I decided this year we are going to practice until we get it! I don’t care if I can only hold for a second on December 31, 2020 11:59pm.. as long as I can do at least that I’ll be happy.

And that’s it! So far anyways. There are a few things I definitely want to do but I am not sure that money is in the cards yet. If it isn’t, then they will just roll over until next year. I worked extremely hard in 2019 on my mentality and developing routines for a healthier life. Putting in that work that I feel like I can absolutely be more weight/health/strength orientated this year and do it successfully.
